LeadSniper ("we", "us") is a research tool that finds publicly listed local businesses, runs automated checks on their public websites, and helps you draft outreach messages. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. Questions? Contact us.
2. What we collect
Email address — only if you choose to sign up for the free run or email guides. It is used for the welcome and how-to emails you requested, and you can unsubscribe with one click at any time.
Your search inputs (niche, city/ZIP, radius) — to run your search and to show you relevant tips.
Your license key — when you activate a pack, we verify it live with Gumroad and store an internal record of the activation (runs remaining). We do not store your payment details; payments are handled entirely by Gumroad.
Your business profile & AI settings (business name, offer, contact preferences, your chosen AI provider/API key/model) — only if you save them, and only so drafts sound like you. Your API key is used solely to talk to the AI provider you chose, is never echoed back in full, and is never shared with anyone else.
Limited technical data — a visitor identifier (cookie + browser-storage token) used to count free searches and prevent abuse, plus local operational logs (search times, which data provider answered) kept to keep the service healthy.
3. What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.
We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to data brokers.
We do not send outreach messages to the businesses you research, and we never send messages on your behalf — outreach is always sent by you, from your own email account.
4. Third-party services
Gumroad — payments and license verification. When you buy a pack, Gumroad processes the transaction under its own privacy policy. We receive only verification details (that your key is valid, the pack it belongs to, your purchase email for identity-matching).
Your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Groq, Mistral, OpenRouter, or another OpenAI-compatible service) — only if you bring your own key. Draft prompts (business profile text and public facts about the lead) are sent to that provider to generate text. Without your key, an optional free AI service may be used, or the built-in template engine that sends nothing anywhere.
Public map & directory data — searches query OpenStreetMap and its ecosystem (Overpass, public geocoders) for publicly listed business information. No personal information about you is included in those queries beyond your search terms. Requests to those services may be routed through our own Cloudflare Worker relay when a direct connection fails — infrastructure we operate, not a third-party data processor, and it handles no personal data beyond your search terms.
Your own email provider — when you copy a draft and send it, that send is yours, under your accounts and your responsibility.
5. Data about the businesses listed
Lead records come from public sources: OpenStreetMap and the businesses' own public websites (page availability, SSL status, load speed, publicly posted contact details). We surface what is already public. If you are a business owner listed here and want your details corrected or removed from future results, contact us and we will honor it.
6. Retention, deletion & your rights
Unsubscribe links remove you immediately and permanently from all email sequences.
Saved business profiles are tied to your license; ask us and we will delete your profile, activation record, and any log entries tied to your email.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time via our contact page. We respond promptly.
7. Cookies & local storage
We use a session cookie (keeps you signed in) and a local-storage token (remembers your free-run allowance and restores your pack after you re-activate a license). No third-party tracking cookies. Clearing them loses nothing you paid for — just re-activate your license key.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
